SEASTEMA, a Fincantieri company specialized in integrated automation and control systems, in partnership with the Korean system integrator HANWHA SYSTEMS acting as main contractor, delivered SEASNavy Engineering Control System (ECS) on the first of eight Daegu-class frigates (FFX Batch II or FFX-II), built by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. (DSME) for the Republic of Korea Navy (ROK Navy).

The Brazilian Navy took delivery of its first modernized AF-1C aircraft on April 23, in Gavião Peixoto. The aircraft (based on a TA-4KU Skyhawk) was received by the AF-1 / 1A Aircraft Inspection and Receiving Group following completion of the flight tests by local company Embraer.

The Royal Navy’s newest vessel HMS Magpie has been in action already undergoing rough weather sea trials in the Irish Sea less than a month after being launched. Magpie is the newest addition to the RN’s hydrographic squadron, replacing veteran survey launch Gleaner which paid off earlier this year in Plymouth after 35 years’ under the White Ensign in HM Naval Base Devonport.
