MiG Corporation expecting new order for MiG-29K/KUB Naval Fighters from Russian Navy
 
Russian fighter aircraft manufacturer MiG (a subsidiary of the United Aircraft Corporation) is expecting a new order from the Russian Defense Ministry for more Mikoyan MiG-29K/KUB (NATO reporting name: Fulcrum-D) carrierborne multirole fighters, MiG Corp. Director General Sergei Korotkov told journalists on Friday.

General Dynamics BIW Christens Future Burke Class Flight IIA Restart Destroyer USS Rafael Peralta
 
On Saturday, Oct. 31, General Dynamics Bath Iron Works christened the U.S. Navy’s newest guided-missile destroyer Rafael Peralta (DDG 115). The ship is named for Sgt. Rafael Peralta, U.S. Marine Corps, who was deployed to Iraq in Operation Iraqi Freedom and was killed November 15, 2004, during the Second Battle of Fallujah in house-to-house urban combat. General Dynamics Bath Iron Works is a business unit of General Dynamics.

Northrop Grumman Awarded Contract for US Navy's AN/SLQ-32(V)7/SEWIP Block 3 Development
 
Northrop Grumman Corporation has been awarded a $91.7 million engineering, manufacturing and development (EMD) contract from the U.S. Navy to further mature system designs for the AN/SLQ-32(V)7 (SEWIP B3) electronic warfare system. Under the contract, Northrop Grumman will finalize integration modeling and test plans, and produce two prototype models for laboratory and field testing.

French shipyard CMN has just released a video showing its Ocean Eagle trimaran patrol vessel during sea trials in extreme weather conditions (Sea State 5). Thanks to its design, the Ocean Eagle 43 demonstrates exceptional stability. CMN confirmed in September 2013 the signing of a major export contract with Mozambique. The contract includes the delivery of three Ocean Eagle 43 trimaran patrol vessels, three HSI 32 interceptors and eighteen fishing vessels for a total of twenty-four ships.
