"The
Komsomolsk-on-Amur administration has signed an agreement with the Russian
Pacific Fleet’s command to take the submarine’s crew under
its patronage. The submarine has the same name as the city," the
press office said.
"The submarine is expected to be stationed in Kamchatka [in the
Russian Far East] after passing dock and running trials," the press
office added.
According to the press office, the submarine was smoothly put afloat
in accordance with the regulation. The ceremony was held on April 29
in Bolshoi Kamen in Russia’s Far East. Before floating out the
submarine, the Amur Shipyard numerously tested and checked the submarine’s
hull, its compartments and systems.
