"The
work continues. It depends not only on us but also on the missile designer
- Tactical Missile Armament Corporation. The use of the missile in the
coastal complex has been announced. The question is when exactly it will
be armed with it," he said. Talks are underway to supply the 3K60 Bal complexes with integrated X-35UE missiles to foreign customers. Antsev said the Russian armed forces can receive the new X-35U missile in 2016-2017. The anti-ship X-35U missile was initially created for aircraft to fight amphibious assault ships and transport vessels in convoys and solo navigation. The firing range varies from seven to 260 kilometers and the flight speed is 0.8-0.85M. Maximum target detection and lock-on distance by active-passive self-homer of the missile is 50 kilometers. The missile is armed with high-explosive fragmenting warhead with a weight of 150 kilograms. The launch weight of X-35U missile from a mobile coastal defense complex is 650 kilograms. |

"The
drone has successfully passed a series of test trials so far. It can fly
up to three hours and engage in optical range reconnaissance check and
targeting. As far as I know, Radar-mms is also working to equip the drone
with small-size radar that will considerably increase its searching capabilities,"
he said. Antsev specified test trials of the drone with onboard radar will begin in 2017. If successful, the craft will be used as a targeting device for the Bal complex. Besides, Radar-mms is designing a 500-kg drone which can be used for targeting missile complexes at a distance of up to 300 kilometers, Antsev said. © Copyright 2015 TASS. All rights reserved.
