At LIMA 2015 Japanese Company NEC Showcased its Harbor Monitoring Network System
 
At the Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace exhibition, LIMA 2015 held in Malaysia last week, Japanese company NEC showcased its Harbor Monitoring Network System designed to ensure underwater safety and security through oceanographic suvery and telecomunication technologies.

At LIMA 2015 Chess Dynamics Showcased the Sea Eagle Naval EO Fire Control System
 
At the Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace exhibition, LIMA 2015 held in Malaysia last week, British company Chess Dynamics showcased the Sea Eagle FCEO naval electro optic fire control system. Sea Eagle FCEO employs an advanced electro optical sensor suite to provide 24 hour target acquisition, tracking and gun engagement. Variants of the system are operational with a number of navies around the world, including the Royal Navy.

Indonesian Navy CN235-220 Maritime Surveillance Aircraft With Thales AMASCOS at LIMA 2015
 
For the first time at LIMA exhibition in Langkawi (Malaysia), the Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) was present with one of its latest CN235-220 maritime surveillance aircraft. Locally built by Indonesian Aerospace (IAe or PT Dirgantara Indonesia), the maritime surveillance aircraft is fitted with Thales' Airborne Maritime Situation and Control System (AMASCOS) and several sensor systems.

On day 2 of the Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace exhibition, LIMA 2015, currently held in Malaysia, Navy Recognition met with Anuar Murad, Director of the Defence & Security Division at Boustead Heavy Industries Corporation Berhad (BHIC). During our interview, Mr Anuar gave us the latest update on the program and confirmed Malaysia's intend to procure Kongsberg's Naval Strike Missile (NSM) for its future frigates.

The Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) is operating two Scorpene Submarines, KD Tunku Abdul Rahman and KD Tun Abdul Razak that arrived in Malaysia respectively in September 2009 and in July 2010. The RMN crew fired successfully an Exocet SM39 Block 2 in August 2010 and a torpedo Blackshark on November 2014.

At LIMA 2015 MBDA is Showcasing its Sea Venom / ANL Anti-Ship Missile for Maritime Helicopters
 
At the Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace exhibition, LIMA 2015, currently held in Malaysia, MBDA is showcasing its next generation anti-ship missile for maritime helicopters: The Sea Venom / ANL. Intended to replace the existing Sea Skua missile in the UK Royal Navy on board Wildcat helicopters, MBDA is hopeful that other Lynx operators such as the Royal Malaysian Navy sees the benefits in switching to the Sea Venom.

During the Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace exhibition, LIMA 2015, currently held in Malaysia, Griffon Hoverwork told Navy Recognition about the delivery 30.8 meters BHT 150 Hovercraft to the South Korea Coast Guard. This is the largest hovercraft to be manufactured in the UK since the 1970s.
