Rosoboronexport anticipates keener interest in Kalibr missile system’s export version
 
Russian official arms exporter Rosoboronexport is expecting keener interest in the Club missile system - an export version of the Kalibr (NATO reporting name: SS-N-27 Sizzler) - on the part of potential customers in Southeast Asia and other corners of the world, Vladimir Yereschenko, chief, regional department, Rosoboronexport, and head, Rostekhnologii-Rosoboronexport joint delegation, has told TASS today at the opening of the 15th Defence Services Asia arms show (DSA 2016).

Cooperation between French group DCNS and OTEC Centre of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia
 
At the occasion of DSA Exhibition in Kuala Lumpur, the two entities have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to conduct together a pre-feasibility study aiming at identifying the potential opportunities of developing a pioneer OTEC plant on the Malaysian island of Layang-Layang. In the frame of this agreement, DCNS and UTM OTEC will put together their complementary expertise to define the technical and commercial feasibility of such a project.

DSA 2016: Kongsberg's Naval Strike Missile is a Force Multiplier for the Royal Malaysian Navy
 
At the DSA 2016 tri-service defence exhibition currently held in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) Kongsberg of Norway was showcasing its Naval Strike Missile (NSM). Navy Recognition was the first to reveal that the Royal Malaysian Navy's future Gowind class Littoral Combat Ship would be fitted with NSM anti-ship missiles during LIMA 2015. At DSA this year, Navy Recognition got the latest from Kongsberg.

At the Defence Services Asia exhibition (DSA 2016) currently underway in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, French company Lacroix is showcasing its SYLENA MK2 decoy launcher. It is a multiple decoy launcher design to deploy three types of ammunitions: SEALEM, SEALIR and CANTO.

R&S to provide integrated communications system for Royal Malaysian Navy Gowind LCS
 
The Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) has selected Rohde & Schwarz to provide state-of-the-art, IP-based communications systems for its Second Generation Patrol Vessel - Littoral Combat Ships (SGPV-LCS). BNS is in progress of building the vessels in its shipyard in Malaysia based on the GOWIND class design. The project is being implemented with local Malaysian integration capability and life time support will be handled by local Rohde & Schwarz experts.
