Thales and the Qatar Armed Forces to develop an Optionally Piloted Vehicle - Aircraft
 
During DIMDEX 2014 Thales signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Qatar Armed Forces to assist in the development of an Optionally Piloted Vehicle – Aircraft (OPV-A), a high performance Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) system, and the delivery of a full end-to-end training solution.

MTU showcases the new Series 1600 marine genset at DIMDEX 2014
 
At DIMDEX, the exhibition for maritime defense, taking place in Quatar from 25 to 27 March (booth H4-50) Rolls-Royce Power Systems unveils its new marine genset carrying the MTU brand. The genset is based on a 6-cylinder Series 1600 inline engine delivering up to 323 kW output and compliant with IMO Tier II and EPA Tier 3 regulations. The marine engine version is configured for on-board power generation and is derived from the highly robust and cost-efficient Series 1600 unit used for power generation on land.

Dimdex, 27 March 2014 - Aerospace, Defense & Security equipment provider Terma A/S delivered the first Surface Movement Radar (SMR) to Abu Dhabi Airport in 2003 and since then several systems followed. Also in 2003 three SMR of the SCANTER 2001 type was delivered to Dubai Airport. In 2008 the second system was fielded in Abu Dhabi Airport.
