HGH Infrared Systems, a global provider of 360 degree thermal imaging systems, announces the debut of their new high resolution system for Wide Area Surveillance. The new camera, the Spynel-S, features a new look and a longer detection range, displaying panoramic thermal images with an impressive resolution up to 30 Mpix.

Associated with Cyclope advanced motion detection software, it provides unprecedented real-time security against conventional and asymmetrical threats, in the whole surroundings, up to the horizon.

Spynel is a high sensitivity camera for real time infrared panoramic surveillance. It makes a 360° image in azimuth at a speed of 1 Hz for the following applications :

» Security perimeters control
» Day and night panoramic surveillance
» Coastal and border passive surveillance
» Airport traffic monitoring
» Detection of intrusion
» Early detection of forest fire

Spynel gives a global and instantaneous vision of the whole security perimeter while the operator had to orientate manually the cameras with traditionnal systems.

The Spynel family now comprises 2 products, the Spynel-S (long range) and the Spynel-C (formerly named Vigiscan).
