Kelvin Hughes' BOXER low-power portable anti-jamming surveillance radar

The BOXER products have been designed to meet the surveillance demands of a range of clients from military and para-military to law enforcement and private security agencies. BOXER is a man-portable system that can be deployed by two people or mounted in a vehicle or trailer. There is also a fixed installation option, and multiple units can be deployed to provide perimeter surveillance. Although optimised for battlefield operations, Boxer also has applications for border protection and law enforcement.

Boxer uses SharpEye™ X-band solid state technology and incorporates three different pulse-length options. These can be programmed or manually alternated, and frequency diversity options ensure true anti-jamming capability. Each electronically steered phased-array antenna sweeps an arc of 120°, and the antenna can also be rotated to give 360° coverage.

Kelvin Hughes' SharpEye™ SCV (small craft variant) Radome

SharpEye™ SCV (small craft variant) is the name of Kelvin Hughes’s new low-power maritime radar, which targets the small boat market up to 35m length. This includes RIBs, special forces insertion vessels, search and rescue platforms and hovercraft.

With a nominal peak power of 50W, SharpEye™ SCV has a 24in rotating array giving an instrumented range capability of up to 48 nautical miles. With a low profile radome, the radar weighs only 10kg, and it can be integrated with a variety of display systems, depending on the nature of the vessel.
