About NAVDEX

In 2017, the region’s leading naval defence and maritime security exhibition (NAVDEX) will return to Abu Dhabi and will have the prestigious honour of the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and organized by IDEX LLC (an ADNEC Group Company) in association with the UAE Armed Forces GHQ.

NAVDEX is held alongside IDEX, the International Defence Exhibition and Conference and features a purpose built exhibition hall, ADNEC Marina for visiting naval ships, a pontoon for small crafts, daily water demonstrations and an outdoor display area.

NAVDEX provides a dedicated and focused platform for international naval defence and maritime security companies to showcase their technologies and services to an international audience.

NAVDEX offers exhibitors the unique opportunity to promote the latest in naval, maritime and coastal security technology, equipment and crafts.

Through high-calibre keynote sessions, prearranged networking events and a senior visitors and international delegations programme, NAVDEX ensures exhibitors meet the region’s government representatives and key decision makers.

Presence of UAE and international warships
NAVDEX has the unique advantage of being able to berth warships alongside the venue. In 2013, NAVDEX welcomed nine warships from UAE, USA, France, UK, Italy and Pakistan. The ships are located at the ADNEC Marina immediately outside the NAVDEX exhibition halls. The vessels enabled exhibitors to showcase their company’s equipment operational on-board.

Vessels and crafts alongside the exhibition stand
Exhibitors can showcase on-water exhibits and berth crafts and vessels at the ADNEC Marina. They will be accessible for viewing by all visitors and boats can be taken out for test runs on the water throughout the exhibition.

Demonstrate equipment to potential clients
NAVDEX exhibitors can include equipment during live choreographed demonstrations that take place daily in front of a grandstand of event attendees.

High profile audience
Every opportunity will be taken to encourage and maximise the engagement between exhibiting companies with the key government buyers and influencers.

NAVDEX will be open to trade visitors from the Monday 23rd – Thursday 26th February 2017. Please note: There is no visitor access to NAVDEX or IDEX on Sunday 22nd February as this is restricted to invited guests and exhibitors only.
