The Russian Defense Ministry and Pella Shipyard have signed a contract for over 10 Project 03160 Raptor-class patrol boats before 2018, according to the Gazeta.ru online news agency. Under the contract, the fast boats are to be delivered before year-end 2018. In addition, the manufacturer will build Project 16609 special harbor tugboats for the Russian Navy.

UK MoD signs contract with MBDA for the Weapon Development Phase of the SPEAR missile
 
The United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defence (MOD) has signed a contract worth over £400M with MBDA for the Weapon Development Phase of the SPEAR air to surface, precision strike missile. This contract will further advance MBDA’s SPEAR weapon design and builds on a successful series of technical milestones during the preceding Assessment Phase. The contract will run through to completion during 2020 and will employ 350 highly skilled missile engineering jobs across MBDA’s sites in Stevenage, Bristol and Lostock, with an equivalent number of jobs in the wider supply chain.

Russian Navy May Sign Contract on New Aircraft Carrier Construction by End of 2025
 
A contract for the construction of an aircraft carrier for the Russian Navy may be signed by the end of 2025, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Yuri Borisov said on Friday. "I think this is most likely to happen by the end of 2025. Three projects worked out by the Krylov State Research Center are available. They are rather good. A decision on the aircraft carrier will be made by 2025," Borisov said.

After a series of problems regarding the management of the Skaramagkas Shipyards, the Hellenic Navy surfaced the HN Matrozos (S-122), a TKMS Type 214 submarine, at the island of Megisti (also known as Kastelorizo). The pictures were published during the submarine’s operational sail at the Eastern Aegean and Mediterranean Sea.

"There are plans to fully repair all shipborne mechanisms and systems used for basing and operating the ship’s aircraft and helicopters, as well as the electric power supply complex and life-support systems before June 20," the source said.

While V-22s have been tested with the Mistral class several times to date (they were even officially qualified with the Mistral-class last year) it is the first time that the Bell-Boeing tilt-rotor aircraft was qualified for "blades and wings folding and long time parking" aboard the French Navy LHD.
