Yantar Shipyard in west Russia builds hull of Second Project 11711 landing ship Pyotr Morgunov
The Yantar Shipyard in Kaliningrad in west Russia has built the hull of the Project 11711 large amphibious assault ship Pyotr Morgunov, the shipyard’s newspaper reported. "The hull of the large amphibious assault ship Pyotr Morgunov has been built. Work to furnish the ship with required equipment has begun," according to the newspaper.

The main switchboard, pumps, compressors and other equipment have already been embarked for assembly, the newspaper reported with reference to senior constructor Sergei Panfilov.
As Yantar Shipyard main constructor Igor Leonov said, "the pace of the work on the amphibious assault ship Pyotr Morgunov is quite stable."
The sole thing that has slowed down the work pace is the postponement of delivery dates. In particular, several items of the ship’s refrigerating equipment are planned to be delivered to the shipyard in January 2017 instead of November 2016.
