Russian Navy to receive Project 667BDRM - Delta IV class SSBN Submarine K-114 Tula in Q4/2017
The Project 667BDRM (NATO reporting name: Delta IV-class) Tula nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine (SSBN) was moved out of the covered slipway of the Zvyozdochka Shipyard on February 26, according to the press office of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC).

"By the time she was taken out of the covered slipway, her hull, outside and survivability systems, mechanisms, etc. had been repaired. The ship will stay in the dock for a while, while some of its radio electronic systems are being fine-tuned. Then, the submarine will be launched. The repair work will be completed with her by the dockside. The ‘boomer’ will be handed over to the Navy in the fourth quarter of 2017 under the contract," USC’s news release says.
The ship was leaving the covered slipway in foul weather. The concerted work of all shipyard divisions involved in the submarine relocation operation allowed the latter’s smooth completion. The delivery program for this year and the tight dock work schedule make slipping behind schedule not an option to Zvyozdochka.
The Sevmash Shipyard built the Tula SSBN in 1987. Zvyozdochka conducted her mid-life repair and upgrade in 2006. The submarine was again brought to Zvyozdochka in Severodvinsk for on-condition repair and service life extension in December 2014 after her time between repairs had expired.
