ATLAS NA SeaFox mine neutralization system demonstrates capabilites during US Navy exercise
 
The SeaFox™ mine neutralization system, delivered by ATLAS North America (ATLAS NA), a subsidiary of the German-based ATLAS ELEKTRONIK GmbH, once again proved its effectiveness in performing unmanned mine countermeasure missions, when participating in Trident Warrior 2012 U.S. Navy Fleet Experiment, July 9-20.

The SeaFox™ mine neutralization system, delivered by ATLAS North America (ATLAS NA), a subsidiary of the German-based ATLAS ELEKTRONIK GmbH, once again proved its effectiveness in performing unmanned mine countermeasure missions, when participating in Trident Warrior 2012 U.S. Navy Fleet Experiment, July 9-20.

French Shipyard Piriou registers an order for a new generation 44 meter Maritime Training Ship
 
PIRIOU registers an order for a Maritime Training Ship (MTS) to be operated by navOcéan, a joint company created by PIRIOU and DCI. This 44-meter ship will be delivered in autumn 2013 and will be named «Almak» («desert lynx») after a star of the Andromeda constellation. The vessel will be used by DCI (The group specializes in providing operational training courses based on the know-how of the French Armed Forces) for training foreign naval forces.

First Keel Laying for Royal Australian Navy Hobart Class Destroyer
 
September 6, 2012 marked the start of the consolidation phase of the Royal Australian Navy Air Warfare Destroyer (AWD) project with the laying of the first keel at Techport Australia in Adelaide. AWD Alliance CEO Rod Equid said the first keel laying is a significant milestone in the AWD project as it marks the start of the next phase in the delivery of three world-class warships to the Royal Australian Navy.

Russian Navy's Pacific Fleet Task Force led by Udaloy Class Destroyer Pays Visit to Japan
 
A Russian Navy group has visited Japan’s naval base Maizuru and is on its way to the home port of Vladivostok, a Pacific Fleet spokesman said on Saturday. The destroyer Admiral Panteleyev, the tanker Boris Butoma and the salvage tug Fotiy Krylov from the Pacific Fleet completed a four-day visit after taking part in the international RIMPAC naval exercise in the United States’ Pearl Harbor.
