U.S. Navy accepts delivery of future USNS Fall River Joint High Speed Vessel
 
Joint High Speed Vessel USNS Fall River (JHSV 4) completed the last significant milestone before delivery of the ship, completing Acceptance Trials (AT) on July 25, 2014, in the Gulf of Mexico. This milestone achievement involved the performance of intense comprehensive tests by the Navy while underway, which demonstrated the operation of the ship's major systems and equipment.
The Navy accepted delivery of Joint High Speed Vessel, the future USNS Fall River from the Austal USA shipbuilder, Sept. 15.The delivery marks a major milestone, the official transfer of the vessel from the shipbuilder to the Navy. USNS Fall River is the U.S. Navy's fourth Joint High Speed Vessel (JHSV).

Keel Laying for the RSN's First Littoral Mission Vessel
 
The keel laying ceremony for the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN)'s first Littoral Mission Vessel (LMV) was held at Singapore Technologies Marine (ST Marine) in Jurong today. Permanent Secretary (Defence) Mr Chan Yeng Kit officiated at the ceremony. The keel laying of the first LMV marks another significant milestone for the RSN.

First Mistral class LHD for Russia, Vladivostok, started sea trials with 200 sailors on board
 
Vladivostok, the first French-built Mistral-class LHD built for Russia left STX shipyard in St Nazaire this morning to start a serie of sea trials with 200 Russian sailors on board. Under the contract, the first amphibious assault ship is to be delivered to Russia by the end of the year, while the second ship, the Sevastopol, is due to arrive next year. Earlier this month, an official statement made by the French presidency explained the delivery of Vadivostok is on hold until November.

INS Tanin, 1st Dolphin Batch II class SSK, joins Israeli Navy
 
The Israeli Navy announced that INS Tanin, the first Dolphin Batch II class SSK, has joined its fleet. INS Tanin is also the fourth of six Dolphin-class submarines that the Israeli navy has on order with German shipyard ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems (TKMS / HDW).

First Ocean Eagle 43 Trimaran Patrol Vessel hull for Mozambique delivered to CMN

Italian shipyard Fincantieri delivered amphibious ship Kalaat Beni-Abbes to Algerian Navy
 
On September 4, 2014 at the Fincantieri Muggiano shipyard (in La Spezia) the Algerian Navy took delivery of the Kalaat Beni-Abbes BDSL (Batiment de Débarquement et de Soutien Logistique) amphibious vessel. The vessel was ordered in 2011 by the Ministry of Defence of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria from Orizzonte Sistemi Navali, a company controlled by Fincantieri in which Selex ES also holds an interest, to serve as the national Navy's new flagship.

The patrol boats will be operated and maintained by the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC), supporting coastal riverine forces.

Russia and France signed a contract for two Mistral-class LHDs for $1.6 billion in June 2011. Under the contract, the first French Mistral-class amphibious assault ship, the Vladivostok, is to be delivered to Russia by the end of the year, while the second ship, the Sevastopol, is due to arrive next year.
