The
French Navy (Marine Nationale) released pictures showing the brand new
Aquitaine
class FREMM Frigate Provence sailing alongside USS
Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) and the Charles de Gaulle in the Persian
Gulf. Following a short port-of-call in Djibouti, the Provence
frigate integrated the Truman Carrier Strike Group (CSG) (Task Force

According
to the French Navy, the first integration of a FREMM in a US Navy CSG
in a crisis area has posed no technical difficulties and demonstrates
the remarkable interoperability of French and American navies. During this period, the NH90NFH Caïman helicopter from Flotilla (French Navy helicopter wing) 33F from the French frigate transfered liaison officers from and to the US aircraft carrier. |

the Charles de Gaulle CSG. As we reported a few days ago, another FREMM is currently on its way to the French Navy CSG: First ship of the class Aquitaine. |
