Successfully Completed Acceptance Testing of Pilot Physiology Training
Center for RSAF
ETC
announced the completion of Pilot Physiology Training Center, sold to
the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) through ETC's Aircrew Training Systems
(ATS) business unit.
The RSAF is committed to the professional development and safety of
their pilots through modernization of its aviation physiology training
program.
This turnkey aeromedical center includes four high performance
trainers further described below:
ETC's G-LAB
Motion Platform High-G Trainer
G-LAB:
The G-LAB Motion Platform is a basic high-G trainer, generating sustained
G forces up to 15G with an approximate onset rate of 8 G/sec from 1.2
G (idle level). For training applications, the G-LAB Motion Platform
is designed to provide refresher as well as initial tolerance training.
For research applications, the G-LAB Motion Platform is the ideal unit
to support acceleration physiology research.
GYRO-IPT:
The Gyro Integrated Physiological Trainer, Generation II, provides pilots
with a hands-on, realistic, spatial disorientation training experience.
During simulated flight, a pilot can experience a variety of real world
disorienting illusions.
Altitude Chamber: The effects of high altitude are
a constant consideration in all types of aviation. To support this training,
ETC manufactures a complete line of Altitude Training Chambers. Dual
control systems (computerized and manual) optimize training safety and
efficiency.
Night Vision Training: The basic Night Vision Training
System (NVTS) combines academic instruction with interactive demonstrations
to optimize a pilots’ ability to see at night without the use
of night vision devices. Basic and advanced techniques are covered,
and various low and no light situations are simulated.
ETC is proud to be the supplier of state-of-the-art aviation physiology
training equipment to the RSAF.
