2014
At
Euronaval 2014, Rafael is highlighting the Spotlite-M, an advanced electro-optic
systems for weapon fire sources Detection Location Classification &
Tracking applications. The system incorporates state of the art fully
operational day & night passive sensors for Multiple fire sources
threats detection. Additional sensors, capabilities and applications
can be added as advanced options.

The Spotlite-M is an advanced multi-sensor, multi-purpose; image stabilized
electro-optical system. The system is fielded on many different platforms
for various applications.
Spotlite-M incorporates the sensors and the electronic section including
the advanced Multi algorithms/processing computer.
Spotlite-M is a perfect solution for detection of fire sources aimed
against small vessels which operates at ranges higher than the effective
weapon range. The Spotlite-M operation enables the vessel to perform
self defence and reaction procedures.
Spotlite-M Infra Red sensor provides the ability to operate in naval
environment overcoming sea clatter and harsh weather conditions. The
SPOTLITE M detects passively variety of threats and supports Emission
Control (EMCON) operation.
The Spotlite-M System comprised of an advanced digital FLIR, main computer
for signal & image processing and HMI. The Spotlite-M has day and
night functioning capability. The prime mission of the system is to
provide the crew with the capability to Detect, Locate, Classify &
Track fire sources like: Small arms, rockets, missiles, ATGMS, shells
etc. The Spotlite-M cooperates with other maritime systems e.g. C4I,
weapon system with the ability of designating or slaving as advanced
options.
