Will Have a Prominent Presence at PACIFIC 2015 Exposition in Sydney
Australia
DCNS will exhibit at PACIFIC 2015 international maritime exposition
in Sydney (Australia) held 6 - 8 October 2015. DCNS is set to have a
prominent presence at the exposition this year. One of the main highlight
of the stand will be the Shortfin Barracuda conventionally powered submarine.
The submarine takes its name from the Shortfin Barracuda, an indigenous
species of the Barracuda found in Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.
Xavier
Mesnet, Marketing and Development Director Submarine & Surface Ships,
comments about the important presence DCNS expects to have at PACIFIC
2015.
DCNS has developed the Shortfin Barracuda with state-of-the-art
technology from its larger cousin, the French Navy’s Barracuda
nuclear-powered attack submarine, to meet Australia’s future submarine
Competitive Evaluation Process (CEP) requirements.
The DCNS stand will feature several other products from DCNS product
range such as the Barracuda SSN, the Scorpène SSK, the OPV 75,
the FREMM Frigate and the SMX 25 among others.
