Cubic's booth
at Sea-Air-Space 2015 (#1345)
The Navy League's
Sea-Air-Space Exposition brings the U.S. defense industrial base,
private-sector U.S. companies and key military decision makers together
for an annual educational, professional and maritime-based event.
Sea-Air-Space is the largest maritime exposition in the U.S. and is
an invaluable extension of the Navy League's mission of maritime policy
education and sea service support.
"Cubic
is committed to advancing the training needs of our U.S. Navy by providing
game-based courseware for both variants of the Littoral Combat Ship
and the Mission Bay Trainer. These innovative virtual training solutions
not only reduce costs and training time, but also deliver the key
tools necessary for the full scope of foundational training,"
said Bill Rebarick, general manager of Cubic Advanced Learning Solutions.
During the exposition,
visitors of the Cubic booth (#1345) can learn about the following
products and services:
- LCS Immersive
Courseware Simulator: Demonstration of the U.S. Navy's new LCS virtual
training program. Set within the Immersive Virtual Shipboard Environment
(IVSE), trainees perform tasks in a realistic multi-user environment.
The LCS Immersive Courseware Simulator is a cost-effective solution
allowing trainees to function within complex systems at a fraction
of the cost.
- LCS Mission Bay Trainer: Presentation of the U.S. Navy's LCS tactile
training program that highlights hands-on interaction for more effective
training. Trainees use identical replicas of actual equipment and
controls to perform required tasks in a highly immersive gaming environment.
- KC-46 Maintenance Training System: A virtual training environment
demonstration for aviation operator and maintainer training. Under
the guidance of instructors or virtual avatars, and with the aid of
an Intelligent Tutoring System, lifelike settings are augmented with
customized situations for students to learn, practice, apply and retain
training content.
