The German companies Plath and Aeromaritime present their combined solution at Euronaval 2016
At Euronaval 2016, the two German companies AEROMARITIME and PLATH present a combination of the AEROMARITIME antenna system AT-4125 with the PLATH receivers which both provide a crucial detection range advantage and therefore improve the submarines self-protection capabilities.

During the surface phase the system collects and records all tasked signals of interest automatically, while the system provides real-time C-ESM (Communication Electronic Support Measures) early warning indications. The time-consuming COMINT-related (Communication Intelligence) pre-evaluation and analysis of the collected signals can be done later, offline in the sub-surface phase.
The system is designed to provide mission-essential C-ESM early warning capabilities, e.g. automatic rapid indication of threatening communication signals on air (submarine hunter COMMS frequencies etc.).
In addition, the solution also provides extensive omni-directional COMINT capabilities, which can be pre-tasked (sub-surface) and executed automatically in the limited surface time-frame. The combination of C-ESM and COMINT adds a significant value to the maritime situational picture, in real-time and also offline.
The user benefits from a precise signal overview of the whole frequency range. Thanks to the automatically provided platform position and content data for every intercepted signal, no matter if strong or weak, the user completes the maritime situational picture, enabling him to be a step ahead and to succeed in his mission.
