At DIMDEX, the naval defence exhibition in Doha, Qatar, Meteksan displays for the first time the Pelikan Missile Seeker Simulator and other naval products as its Underwater Acoustics systems.
The Pelikan Missile Seeker Simulator
The Pelikan Missile Seeker Simulator is a Naval Electronic Warfare (EW) test and evaluation asset deigned to evaluate the effectiveness of a ship's EW capabilities (ESM, ECM, RF CHAFFS/Decos,...)
Pelikan provides realistic Anti-Ship Missile (ASM) seeker radar simulations to evaluate the operation of RF chaffs/decoys and other EW systems and provides a cost effective in-house test, training and validation capability. The system provides ship's personnel to be trained in the use of EW equipment and in the development of avoidance and distraction tactics against simulated threats.
Pelikan consists in a master contoller and up to three remote emitters. The system consits of three missile seekers integrated into a single transportable shelter.
It can simulate a number of different missile seeker radar types by varying parameters such as frequency, pulse width, pulse repetition frequency, gate size, polarization and detection criterias.
Meteksan also showcases other naval solutions such as the Underwater Acoustics systems.
