The Indian Navy (INS) is the maritime force of the Indian armed forces.
The Indian Navy has three naval command:
- The Western Naval Command, headquarters at Mumbai, responsible for western seaboard.
- The Eastern Naval Command, headquarters atVisakhapatnam, responsible for the eastern seabord.

Since several years, the Indian Navy is modernizing itsself. Nowadays, it aligns more than 70 combat vessels including 2 aircraft carriers.
It is composed of approximately 58,350 personnels (including 7,000 naval aviation personnels and 1,200 marines).
