The Indian Navy (INS) is the maritime force of the Indian armed forces.

Since several years, the Indian Navy is modernizing itsself. Nowadays, it aligns more than 70 combat vessels including 2 aircraft carriers.
It is composed of approximately 58,350 personnels (including 7,000 naval aviation personnels and 1,200 marines).
