The People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN), also known as the Chinese Navy, is the maritime force of the People's Liberation Army.

The People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN), also known as the Chinese Navy, is the maritime force of the People's Liberation Army.
The People's Liberation Army Navy is divided into three fleets
- The North Sea Fleet, is responsible for the Bohai Bay and the Yellow Sea.
- The East Sea Fleet, is reponsible for the East China Sea.
- The South Sea Fleet, is responsible for the South China Sea.

The PLAN has approximately 600 destroyers, frigates, replenishment ships submarines and maritime coastal defence vessels, plus many more auxiliary and support vessels. It is composed of approximately 250,000 regular and 350,000 reserve sailors.
