The Bangladesh Navy on Monday (14-11-2016) received two Chinese submarines during a ceremony held at Liao Nan Shipyard in Liaoning province’s Dalian city. Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Nizamuddin Ahmed received the submarines. On behalf of Chinese government, Rear Admiral Liu Zizhu said that PLA Navy and Bangladesh Navy are trusted partners and the submarines transfer will strengthen and deepen the friendship between the two countries.

German Navy to Get Five More K130 Braunschweig-class Corvettes
 
Germany approved the procurement of five additional Braunschweig-class (K130) Corvettes on Friday. This new procurement, worth about 1.5 Billion Euros is to answer new NATO requirements: NATO expects the German Navy (Marine) to provide a total of four corvettes at the highest readiness level for use in littoral operations from 2018. Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) announced the completion of the first round of sea trials for the guided missile destroyer John Finn (DDG 113). The Arleigh Burke-class (DDG 51) ship, built at HII’s Ingalls Shipbuilding division, spent three days in the Gulf of Mexico testing the ship’s main propulsion system and other ship systems.
Airbus Defense and Space, Inc. is under contract with its affiliate, Airbus DS Electronics and Border Security GmbH, to provide TRS-4D naval radars for the U.S. Navy's Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) program through Freedom-variant LCS prime contractor, Lockheed Martin. A factory acceptance test was recently completed for the radar planned to go aboard LCS 21. This follows the already planned installations of TRS-4D aboard LCS 17 and LCS 19.

The Project 22350 (NATO reporting name: Admiral Gorshkov-class) frigate family’s lead ship, the Admiral Gorshkov, has passed the official tests, but a decision on its delivery will be taken after a revision of all of its systems, according to a source in the defense industry.
