Singapore Ministry of Defence Signs Contract with TKMS for two new Type 218SG submarines
 
The Republic of Singapore Ministry of Defence has signed a contract with ThyssenKrupp Marine System GmBH to acquire two new Type 218SG submarines. The contract includes a logistics package and a crew training arrangement in Germany. The two submarines are projected for delivery from 2020.

HMS Queen Elizabeth Aircraft Carrier Fitted with Thales SMART-L (S1850M) Long Range Radar
 
The Royal Navy’s future flagship now stands 56 metres (183ft) tall – higher than Nelson’s Column – after the enormous Goliath crane lifted the 8.4-tonne long-range radar into place on top of the carrier’s forward island. The Thales SMART-L radar safely arrived in Rosyth with its support, the mast cap, from Hengelo in the eastern Netherlands back in September.

Iranian Navy reactivates Lavan helicopter carrier (LST) following overhaul
 
Iran Navy commanders said the overhaul of Lavan chopper carrier, including renovation and operationalizing its hydraulic systems which needs a very complicated technical procedure, has taken 33 months. Meantime, the SH3D combat helicopter also came back into operation for the Navy after nearly 20 months of overhaul repairs and seven months of tests.
