Littoral Combat Ship USS Fort Worth (LCS 3) Completes South China Sea Patrol
 
Freedom class Littoral combat ship USS Fort Worth (LCS 3) arrived here to resupply May 13 after a weeklong routine patrol in international waters and airspace of the South China Sea near the Spratly Islands. While Fort Worth has transited the South China Sea many times, this patrol marks the first time an LCS has operated in international waters near the Spratlys.

Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard contracts Damen for fleet of 12x coastal patrol craft
 
Following a 4-year acquisition programme, the Government of Trinidad and Tobago has agreed to purchase twelve vessels for the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force from Damen Shipyards. The Signing Ceremony, which took place at the Ministry of National Security, Temple Court 1 Building, was attended by Permanent Secretary Carl A. Francison behalf of the Ministry of National Security andDamen Sales Director AmericasSander van Oord.

Russia - China Joint Naval Group Moving to Dardanelles and the Bosphorus straits
 
Type 054A Jiangkai II frigates Linyi (547) and Weifang (550) of the Navy of China (PLAN) and missile hovercraft Samum (616) of the Black Sea Fleet are passing the central part of the Black Sea. On May 14, they will pass through the Bosphorus and the Dardanelles. The first phase of the Russian-Chinese naval exercise Maritime Cooperation-2015 is over and it was a success, the chief of the Black Sea Fleet’s staff, Vice-Admiral Alexander Nosatov, has told the media.

Israel Signed a 430 Million Euros Contract with Germany for 4 TKMS MEKO Patrol Vessels
 
Speaking during the Israel Air Force ceremony on December 25th, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Israel ordered four new patrol vessels from Germany: "Today, I am pleased to announce that three days ago, we added an important component to our defensive force. We purchased four new Saar vessels from Germany" .
The Israeli Ministry of Defense, through the Procurement Administration and in cooperation with the Navy completed on Monday the negotiations for purchase of four patrol boats. The main goal of this new procurement is the protection of Israel's Economic Exclusion Zone (EEZ) where oil and gas production is booming in the sea off west coast of the country. The volume of the transaction is estimated at approximately 430 million euros.

Austal hosts christening of new Joint High Speed Vessel (JHSV) USNS Brunswick
 
Austal celebrated the christening of USNS Brunswick (JHSV 6) with a ceremony this morning at its state-of-the-art shipyard in Mobile, Ala. USNS Brunswick is the sixth of ten Joint High Speed Vessels (JHSV) that Austal has under contract with the U.S. Navy as part of an overall 10-ship block-buy contract worth over $1.6 billion.

During his official visit to France, Jaques Wagner, Brazilian Defence Minister, visited the DCNS Cherbourg site on the 11thof May 2015. He took the opportunity of seeing for himself the installations of one of the major French industries presently working on Brazilian defence contracts. After being welcomed by HervéGuillou, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DCNS, Jaques Wagner visited the workshops where part of this important strategic programme aimed at strengthening the Brazilian navy is taking place. The visit also included meeting the Brazilian teams participating in this programme at Cherbourg, and who benefit from training given by DCNS in the framework of the contract.

Boeing To Provide P-8A Poseidon MPA Training System to Australia
 
Boeing will provide the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) with a complete training system for the P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft under a contract that also includes the sale of four P-8A training systems for the U.S. Navy. This combined domestic and foreign military sale further strengthens the growing partnership between the U.S. Navy and the RAAF on the P-8 program.

Russian Helicopters delivers first batch of repaired Ka-31 AEW Helicopters to Indian Navy
 
Russian Helicopters (part of State Corporation Rostec) has delivered the first two repaired Ka-31 helicopters, produced by Kumertau Aviation Production Enterprise (a Russian Helicopters company), to India. In 2004, Kumertau Aviation Production Enterprise supplied nine Ka-31 helicopters to the Indian Navy. Six needed comprehensive repairs before their first scheduled overhaul, and were sent to Kumertau for this work to be completed. The first two have been returned to India for continued operation. The remaining helicopters are due to be delivered in the near future.
