Secret Russian Navy Nuclear Torpedo System Status-6 Leaked in Television Report
 
At least two Russian television channels, NTV and Channel One, have aired footage on Tuesday showing plans of a never disclosed before nuclear torpedo. Footage shows a Russian military official holding a document containing technical drawings and information about a new "Status-6" torpedo designed by Central Design Bureau for Marine Engineering “Rubin”. This was filmed during a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with military officials in the Black Sea resort city of Sochi.

Kongsberg's Joint Strike Missile (JSM) Successfully Completed Flight Test from F-16 Aircraft
 
The Joint Strike Missile (JSM) successfully completed a missile flight test in the United States last week. The missile was launched at 22,000 ft from an Edwards Air Force-based F-16 over the Utah Test and Training Range and performed a number of challenging flight maneuvers. The test proved the maturity of the missile, which is specifically designed to fit inside the F-35A weapons bay, and the missile flight control software.

The French presidency just announced that the French Navy's aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle is about to deploy to the Persian Gulf to participate in the coalition operations against the Islamic State (IS). This will be the second time the flagship of the Marine Nationale is deployed against IS after taking part to coalition operations earlier this year alongside the U.S. Navy.

Kawasaki Heavy Industries Launched the 8th Soryu-class SSK SS-508 Sekiryu for the JMSDF
 
The 8th Soryu-class SSK, SS-508 Sekiryu, (meaning Red Dragon) was launched at the Kawasaki Heavy Industries shipyard in Kobe on on November 2nd. The Soryu Class diesel-electric submarines are being built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Kawasaki Shipbuilding Corporation for the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF). Ten Soryu Class submarines are planned for the JMSDF. The class is an improved version of the Oyashio Class submarine.

The system, which combines hardware and software, has been developed the globally recognised specialists in the design, development, evaluation and implementation of unmanned systems. BBSR supplies leading military and industry customers around the world, including the UK Ministry of Defence. The company sees enormous potential for ASD, which is designed for use with both manned and unmanned rotary wing and fixed wing maritime platforms.

Lockheed Martin was awarded a $4.6 million contract for the continued development of a maritime canister-launched small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS). “We are extending our sUAS capabilities to tactical maritime users with the Vector Hawk’s innovative canister deployment and launch ability,” said Jay McConville, Lockheed Martin director of business development for Unmanned Solutions.

The first of two state-of-the-art Sikorsky S-92 search and rescue helicopters has arrived at the new HM Coastguard base at Newquay Airport, ready to begin operations in January 2016. The aircraft and the base are operated by Bristow Helicopters Ltd on behalf of HM Coastguard after the company was awarded the ten year UK SAR contract by the Department for Transport in March 2013.

First Scorpene Class Submarine for Indian Navy Set Afloat at Naval Dockyard Mumbai
 
In a process extending over last three days Kalvari, the first ship of Scorpene class submarines, was set afloat in the Naval Dockyard (Mumbai) and was brought back to Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited on 29 Oct 15. Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) reached another milestone as 'Kalvari' being constructed at the shipyard was separated from the pontoon and set afloat at Naval Dockyard Mumbai on 28 October 2015. The chain of events started at a glittering ceremony on 27 October 2015 when the Submarine on pontoon was moved out of MDL.

Earlier this year, in May, Croatia conducted an RBS15 test firing from one of its land-based launchers. The October firing was conducted by a vessel of the Croatian Navy.

The inaugural works started with the setting of the cornerstone from the British Foreign Secretary, Philip Hammond, and his Bahraini counterpart, Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa. The new base will be name HMS Juffair and will be based at Mina Salman Port.
